I am saying Lent is not of Scripture.
Homeschooling in February is one continuous exercise in doing what you know is right, especially when you don’t want to.
This verse has absolutely nothing to do with devotion to God, quiet times, waiting to hear from God, expecting God to speak to you or reveal things to you, or any number of things that women have made it out to mean over the past decade.
Don’t choose one word for 2017. Choose the Word, and let it change your life.
So, you see, while Jesus may not have specifically said, “Thou shall not…” in a red letter edition of the New Testament, Jesus is God. Jesus and the Father are one. If you know and love Jesus, you know and love the Father. “But Jesus never said” is not an excuse for any sin, period.
And please, don’t pretend you mean “oh my goodness” or “oh my gosh,” because, no, you don’t. This is slang for taking the Holy Creator God’s name in vain. Period.
Some moments of each day I am almost paralyzed by the overwhelming darkness of our lives.
