I have never participated in this before, but seeing as how I can’t seem to post on my own, I thought I would give this a try.

In the past six weeks, we have had to replace our water heater, the entire brake system in my 13 year old car (teenagers!), our computer, and our cell phones AND call an electrician because the gas water heater was shooting sparks at me every time I went into the laundry room. Please no more with the replacing of big, expensive items. I have learned that God provides our every need. Need. Not want.

I am training for a marathon! It’s crazy. I am ramping up my running (shuffling, jogging, walk/running), adding in core strengthening exercises (pretty sure newborn babies have more core strength than I do) and trying to find a cheap place that offers beginning yoga when it is convenient for me (aka Wednesdays and Fridays before 8am or between 5:30 and 6:30 pm).

Keith is still working nights. He regained his seniority two weeks ago, which means his schedule is much, much better. However, it is still nights. Anyone have a husband who works overnight? Want to tell me when you have, ahem, adult time? He gets home, Little Man and I are up to start our day. He goes to bed, I am up all day with the kiddo. He gets up, we have dinner.  He leaves for work and I eventually (please, Jesus, let the kid go to sleep before midnight) go to sleep. Repeat. Our marriage is suffering slightly from it 😦

I’m in a bit of a spiritual slump right now. Ever feel like you’re under attack? Well, I do. And it’s been a rough few months. I think *maybe* the sun is starting to shine again, but… well, pray for me, if you are so inclined.

First time visiting me? Welcome! (this should probably be take #1, huh?). Anyway…I am a Protestant (gasp!) who loves Catholic Fertility (in- and sub- and mega- {Dwija, that would be you!}) blogs. We are infertile ourselves, and have a 3 1/2 year old boy (Little Man) we adopted at birth through domestic adoption. We are in a closed adoption, but not by our choice. Keith and I just celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary on May 31. I am a stay at home mom. Keith is a truck driver and works the night shift (see #4). I am hoping to start homeschooling next month (but I don’t have strong feelings about preschool either way, so…it may wait until January when the Boy turns 4. Oh! We had a FABULOUS vacation at Hocking Hills State Park in Ohio last month. I should blog about that….Let me just say that I love camping. Love, love, LOVE it. Of course, it helps that we have a pop-up and are no longer sleeping on the ground. But I love having our “own” space, cooking and feeding my family (as opposed to eating out 21 meals), and being outside. Love. It. I think it’s the best thing ever for our family!!
