Goodness it has been forever!
Let’s see…
Sleeping is improving, thank God. I think we have hit upon the right combo of medications and daily physical activity. Little Man takes (generic) Zantac (one dose about an hour before bed), a dose of (generic) claritin about thirty minutes after that, and a few doses of Hyland’s CalmsForte 4 Kids at bedtime. With the warm weather, we have been able to play outside for a few hours everyday, or I let him ride his riding toys inside (yay for laminate flooring). And we have calmed down the evening roughhousing with daddy π
The result? He is sleeping from 8:30 or 9:00pm to 6:15am or so. And some mornings he’ll go back to sleep for an hour after a new diaper (and dry pajamas) and milk. It is not consistent, yet, and he still cries out in his sleep some, but in the past two weeks, I would say he’s basically slept through the night more often than not.
I feel like a new woman π
And I am certainly not discounting everyone’s prayers…I know those are helping a ton, and I am grateful, grateful, GRATEFUL for every single prayer offered up on our behalf. Thank you.
In other news…my dryer is broken. You never really know how much laundry you do until you have to wait for the right weather to hang it on the line! On the upside, the kiddo thinks it’s great mama is hanging laundry on the line; he loves to run through it! But enough is enough. After three or four weeks we have a repairman coming Wednesday.
I will never understand what causes grown women to act like middle schoolers.
For Easter Little Man wore a vest and a hat…adorable. He also serenaded the nursery workers, singing “My Savior Lives” and “Glory to God.”
I am training for a half marathon and just got the email for April. I have 25 days. Gulp. I did a 15k on Saturday in 2:18:39. Obviously I am not running the whole time π
The training for the Mini is part of my quest to get healthier. That is a separate post, though.
I am still addicted to television, but watch maybe two hours a week. Sadly, I miss it.
Easter candy was 50% off today. That is not helpful in said health quest π
We are going camping this weekend, for the first time this season. We bought a popup camper in March. Cuhrazy, I know, but I am super excited to be “home” wherever we go!!

I'm so glad he's sleeping better! Woohoo!
The teacher in R's class asked what song he wanted to sing on Easter. R said, “Let's sing an Elvis song!” Of course.
