2010 was an amazing year in our household.
We have son who was born this year.
He learned to walk this year. And babble. And sit up. And roll over. And climb. And any number of amazing things.
He bonded with us this year.
Our marriage survived this year 🙂
Our friendships grew stronger this year.
Old friendships were renewed.
It was also a year of significant change, especially for me.
I am still having a bit of an identity crisis over who I am.
God is patiently seeing me through it (as are my two best friends who had to listen to me last night at our fancy Italian restaurant girls’ only dinner! thanks, M & L!!!).
I am excited about 2011.
Not anxious.
Not worried.
Excited.
It’s been a long time since I’ve been this excited for a new year to begin.
It’s a new beginning – a chance to continue discovering who God wants me to be in this particular season of my life.
Truth be told, I’m also excited about the junk food I bought for us to eat tonight! That’s our family tradition – hunker down at home (usually with movies) and eat our favorite foods that are really bad for us (think chips & dip, pizza rolls, mozarella sticks – you get the idea). I even bought sparkling grape juice. I think Little Man might get his first ever taste of juice tonight!
But I’m excited to see what God has in store for 2011.
